Alisha Cobbett
Director
My name is Alisha, and I am a relatively new resident of Fort St John, having spent 17 years in the northern region, previously in Fort Nelson. As an enthusiastic outdoors person, I deeply appreciate the beauty and diversity that the remote north offers. I believe that advocating for and supporting the communities where we live, work, and play is invaluable, and it requires each of us to contribute.
Professionally, I have a strong sense of leadership values and a passion for building the next generation up for success. I have spent most of my northern tenure with North Peace Savings, holding various positions including Learning and Development Advisor. More recently, I am proud to serve as the Branch Manager of the Fort St John Hub.
Altruistically, I find great value in giving my time and support to local initiatives that benefit the greater good. I have served on several boards, including the Early Years (previously Success by 6), where I supported families with young children by securing funding for essential resources. Currently, I am also a member of Rotary, where I thoroughly enjoy the shared passion, we all have for our community. Along with other opportunities to support local, I am always willing to jump in, get dirty and support where I can.
Looking ahead, my future goals include continuing to advocate for our communities, driving support to local business, and expanding my philanthropic efforts to make a broader impact. I am committed to building a stronger, more connected community and empowering others to achieve their full potential.
